Film director/ Producer/ script writer

Mr. Pradip Pokhrel is a professional Journalist, writer, documentary filmmaker and sustainability researcher based in Himalayan region of Nepal. He is also an active high altitude cinematographer. In 2008 he published the pictorial book "MANANG People and Places". In 2009 his first documentary film "IN GOD'S HEART-LAND" was screened at Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF). "SNOW LEOPARD SCOUTS 2014," "AGE BAR," "LITTLE JOYS", "AN UNTHANKED FRIEND", and "RISING FROM EPICENTER" 2015 were screened and awarded at different international film festivals. "A SONG FOR BARPAK" was awarded (Best ICIMOD Mountain Film Award) in KIMFF 2016, Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) 2018 and also several international awards. His film POST-EARTHQUAKE, REBUILD IN THE HIMALAYA 2018, was screened at KIMFF and several film festivals all over the world.

He is also a Festival Director at Nepal Independent Film Festival (NIFF) and has produced several documentaries on mountain lifestyle, culture, wildlife, environment, conservation and other social issue for different organizations. He is also a well trained Observation Documentary film maker.
